Brother DCP-7030 Printer Review:
The Brother DCP-7030 is a
multifunction monochrome laser printer designed for the small or home office
user. This printer has a toner saving feature to extend time between
replacements. Documents still have remarkable text in this toner saving mode.
The estimated toner cartridge yield is approximately 1,500 pages with the
standard yield cartridge. However, it can last up to 2,600 pages using the
high-yield toner cartridge model TN360. Both units page yield at 5% percent
coverage industry standard. The Brother DCP-7030’s drum unit DR360 yields about
12,000 pages at 5% coverage.
The Brother DCP-7030 has a
35-page automatic document feeder available. If only a single sheet needs
copied, faxed, or scanned you can choose the document glass to do the job.
Another feature on the DCP-7030 is the local connectivity USB interface. It
gives user the option to use the USB and
operate the unit as a stand-alone
copier, scanner, and fax.
One major drawback for the
Brother DCP-7030 printer is that the entire drum needs to be removed when
replacing the toner cartridges, making it a much more complicated process than
most other Brother designed printers.
Overall, the Brother DCP-7030
includes a lot of functionality and comes with an affordable price. Not all of
the features are well-implemented, but all of them are adequate.
