Brother MFC-9440CN Printer Review:

The design of the Brother MFC-9440CN color laser printer is not as compact as some multifunction devices. Therefore this unit is more suitable for small to medium office environments.

The multifunction capabilities of the MFC-9440CN include printing, scanning, copying, and faxing. The model  features both a flatbed scanning surface and an automatic document feeder, with a capacity of 35 pages, either of which can be used for scanning, copying, and faxing. The control panel is nicely laid out, with just enough buttons to provide functionality, but not so many as to be overwhelming.

The Brother MFC-9440CN toner cartridges have a capacity of 2,500 for black and 1,500 for each color cartridge, all at 5% coverage. High-yield cartridges double the black capacity to 5,000 pages, and more than double the color cartridges to 4,000 pages, all at 5% coverage. Using the high-yield Brother MFC-9440CN toner cartridges will result in a significant savings over the life of the machine.

Print speed is approximately 16 pages per minute for monochrome prints, and 15 pages per minute for color. Scanning times are also fast, resulting in fast copies and scans. Print quality is excellent, especially for text.
